Participants should bring a basic set of drawing and oil paint supplies such as brushes, oil pastels, oil paints, sketchbooks, drawing papers, and medium-sized canvases (i.e. 24x18in, 30x24in, 40x30in, 48x36in), etc. 

This is a workshop of artistic inspiration and productive skill-building. Participants will explore life model sketching and the progression toward vibrant and rhythmic figurative oil paintings.

Materials and Model Setup
Emre will begin by introducing himself and telling you a bit about which artists have inspired him and influenced his work over the years.  He will then explain his materials and show you how he goes about creating a composition starting  with real life models.  We will draw and capture form and emotions from a life model. Additionally, we will take reference photos of the pose to be used for further study.

Color Palettes And Compositions
Emre will guide you through painting demonstrations using different color palettes, both of which are very useful exercises to try at home. Then, we will use the previous day's model sketches and reference photos to create painting compositions.

Figurative Painting Exercise 
Emre will demonstrate how he approaches painting in oil. We will create the final figurative paintings, with a focus on adding layers of color.

Figurative Painting Exercise And Final Critique
The final critique session, where every participant will display their favorite painting they have produced.
